name : Jenna title : Easter Egg Hunting story : My mum is a pretty crazy person. She likes to do her Easter shopping in style. Her deadline was 3 oclock, and she needed 30 cadbury medium-sized eggs, 4 packets of cadbury roses, and 15 packets of peppermint. I had been dragged along, even though I wanted to be at home playing starfox adventures. My mum was wearing army-camouflage clothes, and was darting around the shopping centre with binoculars around her neck. "Come in Gamecube," she spoke into the walkie talkie. I was at the other end of the shopping centre, wandering around looking for easter eggs. "Do you copy?" "Yes ma'am." "Status report gamecube... and call me mothergoose. You know what our code names are." "Well mothergoose," I yawned, rounding a corner, "Gamecube is in the fresh produce section. No easter egg sightings so far. What's your status then?" I asked coldly. There was no answer. Was that bad? I didn't wait to think about it. I darted out of the vege section, stopping briefly to look down each aisle. Then I saw her. She was staring at the easter egg display. Her arch-nemesis, doctor eatstoomanyeggs, was at the other end, staring at them. Then they were off. First person to reach the display got first refusal. This mightn't sound like much, but mum wanted those eggs. She was running... I looked around... and grabbed a trolley. "HERE MUM!" I yelled, pushing it towards her. She jumped on, and started to gain the upper hand... she was almost there... as you can imagine, we were starting to attract some weird looks from other shoppers. Mum jumped off the trolley and it crashed into the evil eatstoomanyeggs, and he was sent flying towars the checkouts, screaming his promise of revenge. Yea, whatever. Mum loaded her basket up with everything she needed, and gave her binoculars and jacket to me as we neared the checkout. The lady smiled as she scanned our eggs. "Is the young lady expecting many eggs this Easter?" "Oho, I think so. She shouldn't have so many." "Why are you wearing binoculars little girl?" The lady asked. Mum answered for me. "Playing her fantasy games.... hahah." Grr. That was the last straw. Mum could be as crazy as she wants, but making it look like I was the crazy one was too much. And I am NOT A LITTE KID, I'm eleven. When I get home I'm not going to speak to mum till Easter... she has got quite a few eggs to dish out, after all. name : Karmen title : Easter Shopping story : Once upon a time there was an Easter Bunny. he waiked into the grocery store to buy goodie bags for all the kids. He bought some of the Easter egg choco late candy. He went to the register. lte paid for it and the people put it in a bag for him. name : Tessa title : "Happy Hunting" story : "I hope I don't look conspicuous," the Easter Bunny thought as he walked through the town of Woodsberg. He had covered up his ears with a large hat and looked like a normal human being. He was out searching for Easter things to put in the children's baskets. Pulling out his binoculars, the Easter Bunny scanned the streets. "Ah, flowers!" he cried and picked a bouquet of daisies. Snapping his fingers, they disappeared and were sent to his rabbit hole. Two kids rode by on skateboards. The Easter Bunny caught a bit of converstaion. "I want one of those wind-up egg cars that spins and does tricks!" said one kid enthusiastically. "Wow!" said the other one. "I think those talking rabbits are cool." They continued on their way. "Hmmm," thought the Easter Bunny. "High-tech. I'd better check those things out. Where can I go to find out about technical things?" Then the answer came to him. The library! The Easter Bunny hopped to the library and checked out three books on technology. Using his speed-reading skills, he was able to finish the books in five hours. Now he knew what sort of things children were expecting. Whipping out his binoculars, he spotted several items and soon his hole was packed. On Easter morning, every child woke up and found toys, candy, computers, TVs, and microwaves in their Easter basket. Happy Easter. May technology be with you... |
