THE GLASS MERMAID
by Susan Clymer On Christmas night, Becca wakes up in the middle of the night and tiptoes downstairs to the Christmas tree. She sees that her favorite ornament, the glass mermaid, was in danger of falling. She grabs it just in time. Then Becca heard a tiny voice. That is the beginning of her adventure! There are two tiny people on the tree. They tell her they need her mermaid. They live in Seatown. Becca lies down and sees a little door in the trunk of the tree. She touches the doorknob and immediately becomes small. The two tiny people, Jingle and Sander, tell her that they would have to take her to the evil sorceress. When they get there the sorceress said they could have a race, to see if Becca could get the mermaid to water, for the sorceress had turned the ornament alive. Does Becca succeed?
