by Beverly Cleary

This book is about a girl named Ramona Quimby. At the beginning she gets teased by her friend Howies Uncle Hobart. Ramona decides she doesn't like Uncle Hobart at all. The next day Ramona tells her family that Howies mother, Mrs. Kemp doesn't like her because although Ramona tried to stop Willa Jean, Howies little sister, from breaking the accordian Uncle Hobart gave her, Mrs. Kemp blames Ramona. So it was arranged that Ramona and her sister Beezus would stay home by themselves after school. The girls had a big argument and wouldn't speak to each other, until they found their cat dead in the basement of old age.

On top of all that, Beezus thought their mother was going to have a baby And could the woman Uncle Hobart is seeing REALLY be Ramona's Aunt Beatrice?
With Ramona, it's always hard to tell what will happen next!
