The Light of Hogback Hill by Cynthia Defelice Hadley and Josh are friends. Near Hadley's apartment building is a hill: Hogback Hill. Hadley and Josh hear that an old witch who changes people into cats lives there. Hadley is scared, but Josh wants to investigate the light they sometimes see at the top of the hill. They go up there on Halloween and find that there's really someone there. Then Hadley goes there again and finds .... I won't tell you, you'll have to read the book to find out! This is a good spooky book.
