The Princess and the Goblin by George McDonald This book is about Princess Irene and her friend Curdie. They save their land from goblins. Irene's grandmother gives the princess a invisible thread, which she uses to save Curdie from the goblins. They had captured him and put him in a cave in the middle of the mountain. Irene follows her thread, which leads her to him. Then she gets them both out of the mountain. It was funny how the thread led her to Curdie when the other end was with her grandmother. This is an exciting fantasy adventure story. I enjoyed it a lot!
