PIPPI ON THE RUN
by Astrid Lindgren

In this book, Pippi and her friends Tommy and Annika run away.
It all begins when Annika was angry at her mother, as most children are sometimes. She decides to run away, and Tommy and Pippi go with her. They take Pippi's horse with them, for it's always handy to have a horse around when you are running away. When a storm breaks, the horse runs away all by himself, leaving the children behind. When they round the next bend in the road, they see a deserted house, in which they decide to spend the night.

They find a man named Conrad there, who runs away because Anikka wants to wash him. The children go on to have adventures such as being chased by a bull, and going to jail. Of course, fun and exciting stuff always happens when Pippi is around!
