The Harry Potter Books
by J.K. Rowling
This is an excellent series, and I strongly recommend it!!

HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER'S STONE (Book 1)

Harry Potter used to lead a miserable life with the Durleys, but that was before he found out that he was a wizard! Harry had been told that his parents had died in a car crash, but that was a lie. They had been murdered by the Dark wizard, Lord Voldemort. Voldemort had tried to kill Harry, too, but the spell rebounded and he got hit with it instead. Harry Potter was famous for that!

And now Harry gets to go to a wizarding school, where he will find plenty of excitement, two friends, and a sport called Quidditch. Harry is having a blast, until he learns that something important is hidden at Hogwarts, and that somebody will do anything to get his hands on it. Can Harry, Hermione, and Ron stop that person before something awful happens? Read this exciting book to find out!

HARRY POTTER AND THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS (Book 2)

The Chamber of Secrets. What can be there, waiting, biding its time? Something horrible. Something that's attacking the students at Hogwarts. But who - or what - can it be?

Another thing that's bothering Harry is that Dobby, a house-elf, came to visit him and warned him not to go back to Hogwarts. But Harry ignores the warning and goes anyway. But then mishaps start happening to him. It seems as if Dobby will do anything to get Harry to stay away from school - even if it means killing him.

Yet another problem is that Harry can speak Parseltongue, the language of snakes. Now all the students seem to think Harry is attacking people. Can Harry, Hermione, and Ron clear Harry's name before it's too late? Find out in this wonderful book!

HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN (Book 3)

Sirius Black is a dangerous wizard. The Ministry of Magic is warning everyone to beware of him. So how does Harry feel when he finds out that people think Black's after him to kill him? Very strangely. Especially since he had had a weird encounter when the Minister of Magic. Harry had done magic in his Muggle home. He's an underage wizard, so he's not allowed to do that, but he doesn't get punished for it!

Then Harry finds out something about Black that changes his whole life. What is he supposed to do about this? Read this fantastic book to see what happens!

HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE (Book 4)

Can't be! But it's true. Harry Potter's name came out of the Goblet of Fire. Now he'll be performing in the Triwizard Tournament. Sounds fine and dandy, right? Not! Harry is too young to be chosen as a school champion. But he has to do it. Who put his name in? Was it a fan, hoping that Harry will get even more famous, or is it someone who hopes that he will die in the tournament?

The first task isn't that hard, and the second task is a piece of cake with a friend's help. But the third task is the worst of them all. What makes it so bad? Find out in this great book!
