Briar used to be a street rat, but those days are over now. When he finds one of them sick, he can't just desert her. But the disease is nothing like he's ever seen. Soon all the mages are working to find out just what this mysterious blue pox is. It's highly contagious and fatal! Just when they find out what is it and possibly how to stop it, Rosethorn gets sick. Can Briar save his beloved teacher?
