The Enchanted Woods
No Trespassing

Trust galloped to Hope's cave and knocked. Hope came out and said," Hello Trust. Any news?" Trust nodded and said, "Yes. Sorceress Marigold is holding a meeting at the the Ancient Tree. Come as soon as possible. It's urgent." Trust galloped off.

Confused, Hope trotted to the Ancient Tree. All of her friends were already there. Hope joined Sugar, Mistie, and the butterflies and asked," What's going on?" Suddenly Grace galloped up. She was crying and shouting," Make way!" Everybody cleared a path and Grace walked to the center of the circle. Hope gasped in horror. Honor and Faith were carrying Destiny on their backs. There was a trickle of blood on Destiny's shoulder. Marl the wizard followed.

When the unicorns had gotten Destiny comfortable on the grass, Marl put some salve on Destiny's shoulder and chanted under his breath. In a few seconds, all you could see was some dry blood. The wound had disappeared. Marl patted Destiny's nose and said," You'll be fine. Just stay in your cave for a few days. Does it hurt?" Destiny shook his head. "No," he replied. "But it kinda stings." Marl smiled. "Then it's working," he told the unicorn. "Just get plenty of rest."

Honor and Faith went away, helping Destiny to his cave. Sorceress Marigold stood in the middle of the circle and said," We have had a very unfortunate accident today. A hunter got into the Enchanted Woods and shot Destiny. He'll be all right - our magic has cured him, but we must do something about that hunter. My suggestion is that everybody gives me a little of your magic and I'll create a ward around the Enchanted Woods to keep out these cruel humans. If a human has no intention of doing harm, he can come and go as he pleases. We don't want anyone getting seriouly hurt. That was a small, easily cured wound. Do you agree?"

Everybody cried out," Yes!" "Then stand in a line so I can get a bit of your magic," Sorceress Marigold commanded. Everyone started to get in a line. Hope, Mistie, and Sugar stood together. When Hope's turn came, Marigold put a hand on her horn and Hope could feel something leave her. Sugar's small wand that held her magic didn't sparkle as much, and Mistie looked paler. The butterflies also weren't as brightly colored as before.

When Sorceress Marigold had gotten all the magic she needed, she chanted some words and waved the hand that had collected the magic. Golden sparkles swirled around her and Marigold was lifted into the air. When she was finished, everybody felt safer because they could feel the ward. Sorceress Marigold had saved the day!
