Hope was in her cave, thinking about what to do that day. Finally, she decided to get Sugar and go and visit Mistie. With that in mind, Hope trotted to Sugar's tree. Sugar was outside in her hammock, watching two grasshoppers playing. Hope laughed and said," Hi, Sugar!" Sugar jumped, startled, and then said," Hello, Hope. How are you today?" "Fine," Hope replied. "Actually, I was thinking we could visit Mistie today." "All right," Sugar agreed. The two friends went to Hope's cave first, where the unicorn put flying salve on all of her four feet. Then she and Sugar flew up to Mistie's home in the rainbow. Mistie's mother said," Hi!" I'll go get Misite. She's practicing raining in her room." She disappeared into what looked like a wall, but was really a door, and then came back with a rather wet Misite. "You look like you've been in a storm," Hope greeted her cloud friend. Misite grinned and said." I know. I keep raining up instead of down. I'll get the hang of it someday though." Sugar laughed and joked cheerfully," I hope not. It would be nice if it never rained again!" Everybody laughed. "Anyway," Hope continued. "We were wondering if we could stay up here for the day." Misite looked at her mother questioningly. "I don't think so," her mother said. "I'm cleaning up here today. Sorry." Hope shrugged and said," That's okay. We'll find somewhere else to go. Come on!" Mistie, Sugar, and Hope floated down to the ground. "Let's go exploring," Misite suggested. "That's a good idea," Sugar said, nodding. Hope smiled and said," Sure, why not!" So they set off. AFter a long time, the three friends suddenly found themselve in an open area. Hope stopped and said," Hello! Where are we?" Sugar looked around and said," I don't know." "Look!" Misite cried. "The Enchanted Woods is behind us. Should we go back?" "No," Hope said. "Let's explore that forest in front of us." Sugar flew on and said," Okay. We can explore new territory." Mistie shrugged and said," Why not?" They continued. Soon they were inside the forest. It was dark and unfriendly looking. Suddenly Sugar gasped. "Look!" she whispered. Hope and Mistie looked. There were signs stuck in the ground. One said," Dismal Forest" and the other said," Troll Kingdom". Misite gulped and said," Why don't we go back." Hope nodded slowly and said," I agree. Come on." They turned around and screamed. A particularly nasty looking troll with red eyes was standing behind them. "Hello, food," he said. Hope tried to run, but her feet wouldn't move. The troll laughed maliciously. "I have magic," he said. "You will follow me." He began to walk. The three friends struggled, but they were forced to follow the troll.
