MY MARS ADVENTURE

"You could be more gentle!" I muttered as Xor dragged me on. Soon we reached a glass castle. "Come," said Xor. He pulled me in. "No," I thought. "I'm gonna walk away." Inside, there was a silver door. He pushed me through it and threw me on the ground in front of another Martian. This one was wearing a glass crown on his head. There were lots of other Martians in the room. I got up and said," Hi." Nobody said anything, they all just stared at me. "I think I'll just wait in the lobby," I said, and started to walk towards the door. Xor stopped me with an unfriendly glare. "All right, all right," I said, going back to the throne. "I'll stay here. But I don't have an appointment with his Majesty." I said the last part sarcastically, but some of the Martians nodded in agreement. "Maybe next Thursday," I went on, cheerfully. "In fact, Thursday would be much better than now." The King was silent and then suddenly said," Who." Then he sighed heavily. " Who, what, when, where, how," he finished. "Are you talking to me?" I asked. The King nodded in answer. "You should see a docter," I said. Some of the Martians snickered. "Just answer," he said. I shrugged and stood at attention. "I am Chantessy. I am a person. I became a person twelve years ago. I became a person in a hospital. I became a person by being born. if you wanted other, this is what I can offer you. I am an Earthling. I am a girl. The time is 11:37. I am on Mars. How I came to be on Mars is that I either miscalculated, or the Moon monster was wrong." I bowed. The king nodded. Then for good measure, he nodded again. Then to be completely secure in his decision, he nodded one more time. After a little while, he stood up and said generously," I, King Xorno, have decided that this Earthling will stay here until we have built a ship that will take her back to her own planet. That is all." I clapped and said," Very good, your Highness. When will you begin the ship?" King Xorno shrugged and said," Now."

The building of the ship took three long days, but it was finally finished. When it was, Xorno called together a group of martians to help fly the ship. One of them was Xor. When we were halfway to Earth, he came to me and said," I wish I had never captured you. Now you will plummet to your death, as I intended." He pushed me through the open window beside me. I fell onto a hard surface. "Ow!" I cried. I stood up, rubbing my arm. Where was I now? I looked around. A forest, a village, a woman, a...wait! The woman looked at me and said," I am Plume. Welcome to Pluto." I stared at her. "I hope Plutonians are nice," I thought.
